The nutrition field has become more like a fashion industry nowadays: people go with the latest trend: gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, paleo, you name it! Each of these diets are restrictive in one or more ways – you are not supposed to eat gluten-containing grains, milk products, animal products, etc. One thing to realize is that these restrictive eating patterns only make sense therapeutically, for those people who are truly gluten-intolerant or have Celiac disease, or who are lactose-intolerant. The majority of us can handle gluten and most of the dairy products, such as yogurt, cheese, kefir without any problems. By avoiding wholesome grains and milk products, we miss out on many important nutrients they contain.
I hear a lot from others ‘How can I cook healthy meals for myself and my family If I am too busy?’ and I can relate with that being a busy professional and a Mom myself! If I showed you how to make healthy delicious meals in less than 30 minutes, would that solve the problem?
I teach my clients how to eat a healthy, balanced diet that includes a variety of foods from all food groups: grains/cereals, proteins, heart-healthy fats, and dairy products, or alternatives for those who do not like regular milk, or cannot tolerate it. I also take them by the hand, and walk them through a maze of conflicting nutritional myths, latest hypes and confusing labels.
There is no “One size fits all” nutritional approach, my philosophy is taking a personalized approach to each and every person, and by working together, we will design a nutritional plan that best suits your religious, cultural and personal beliefs, your daily habits, your and your family’s schedule and lifestyle as well as your individual nutritional needs based on your health condition, age, ethnicity, your body composition, and your physical activity level.
Contact me for your personal nutritional consultation, and I would be happy to meet with you and get you started on your way to vibrant health through optimal nutrition!
